About the role

This role is a new role and will offer you the opportunity to define and shape our processes relating to bid management. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the bid development and submission process from opportunity to submission.

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll have the

  • Manage the bid management process and lifecycle, including
    • drafting proposal timelines
    • providing initial assessment as to the feasibility of a bid
    • supporting the CEO to lead the weekly opportunities meeting
    • tracking progress against relevant milestones
    • keeping all relevant stakeholders apprised of the status and requirements of opportunity bids
    • finalising submissions within timelines
  • Work in conjunction with a range of internal stakeholders to define and promulgate processes relating to opportunity identification and management, including document management
  • Collaborate with our people at all levels, including General Managers, Project Managers, technical experts, Finance, Logistics and People and Culture, to develop responses to RFQs and other bid, tender and proposal requests
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other Bid Managers from relevant Industry Primes
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to refine and ensure consistent branding for all submissions
  • Support the Business Development Managers to translate client requirements

  • Significant experience working as a Bid Manager, within the technology or government/defence sectors
  • High level communication skills, including the ability to influence people at all levels within and external to the business
  • Excellent relationship management and project/program management skills
  • A strong focus on business improvement and process optimisation
  • Team player and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of people
  • Resilient and the ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment

This role requires the successful candidate to be an Australian citizen with a current AGSVA NV1(or higher) security clearance. Preference may be given to applicants with a higher clearance. Successful applicants may be requested to submit a clearance at a higher level.
